Jay Kim began his pastoral leadership at the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington on January 2, 2025. Throughout his ministry, he has served in several different states and has gained experience across a wide range of church contexts and congregational sizes. His wife Susan, and their two sons currently live in Los Angeles and visit Jay often. 

His diverse ministerial journey—from youth ministry to adult ministry—along with his deep commitment to God’s calling, has led him to this new chapter of pastoral leadership.

Originally from South Korea, Jay came to the U.S. to pursue college and further his academic career.  

Jay earned a BA from Princeton University, Master's degrees from Vanderbilt University, and Fuller Theological Seminary (MDiv). He also holds doctorates from Harvard University (Ph.D) and Denver Seminary (D.Min).
